Sonakshi Sinha has finally married longtime beau Zaheer Iqbal in an intimate yet lavish affair at her Bandra residence. The celebration was only attended by close friends and family members. Now, the actress has shared glimpses from the civil marriage ceremony.

A couple of minutes ago, Sonakshi Sinha took to her Instagram and shared a few pictures from her and Zaheer Iqbal’s civil wedding ceremony. She captioned it, “On this very day, seven years back (23.06.2017) in each others eyes, we saw love in its purest form and decided to hold on to it. Today that love has guided us through all the challenges and triumphs… leading up to this moment… where with the blessings of both our families and both our gods… we are now man and wife. Here’s to love, hope and all things beautiful with each other, from now until forever”

In the picture clicked after the civil marriage ceremony, Sonakshi Sinha is seen looking beautiful in a white saree with intricate gold/beige embroidery work. Zaheer Iqbal complimented his bride dressed in a floral work white kurta-pyjama set and gold watch. The ‘Heeramandi’ actress completed her look with a gold and gemstone chocker and matching earring, a white flower gajra and alta.

The first of the three pictures sees the groom kissing his bride’s left hand as she looks at him lovingly. The next – a collage of two pics, features Sonakshi holding her dad, Shatrughan Sinha’s arm as Zaheer signs the wedding registration documents. All present in the frame can be seen smiling from one ear to another. The last picture in the carousel sees the newlyweds lovingly posing for the cameras.

According to reports, Sonakshi and Zaheer got married under the Special Marriage Act at the former’s residence in Bandra. The bride and groom will be hosting a reception party for close friends and family members at Bastian – At the Top in Lower Parel.

For those unversed, Sonakshi and Zaheer have been dating for 7 years. They starred together in the movie Double XL. While they remained tight-lipped about it, their mushy posts spoke volumes of their love.
