Varun Dhawan is busy shooting for his next ‘Coolie No 1’ that also stars Sara Ali Khan. On Sunday, Varun Dhawan escaped a near-death situation while he was shooting, as he was doing a heavy-duty stunt that did not go as planned and he was part of a malfunction that was very horrifying.
According to a report by Mid-Day, Varun along with the crew was filming a very difficult stunt that required him to deliver some close-up shots inside a car as it hung off the cliff. An onlooker at the set revealed, “After Varun filmed his shot, he realised that the car door was jammed and wouldn’t budge.”
Well, Varun was really lucky to have escaped the situation as he had help on set and they took care of the situation on time. “Even though the stunt was rehearsed several times under the supervision of the stunt coordinators and all the safety precautions were employed by the director [David Dhawan], things, unfortunately, went awry. What followed was a few minutes of dread as the stunt coordinators tried to get him out of the vehicle. It was proving to be all the more difficult given how precariously the car was balanced on the edge. Varun kept his calm throughout the episode, and finally, escaped unhurt with the help of one of the stunt coordinators.” added the onlooker.
