A civil court in Mumbai has rejected Kangana Ranaut’s plea to restrain Mumbai civic body from demolishing the unauthorized construction. According to  PTI report, the court has observed that the actress violated the sanctioned plan by merging her three flats in Mumbai. However, Kangana has denied any such action on her part and said that she will fight in the higher court.

According to a PTI report, a court in suburban Dindoshi dismissed Kangana’s plea which she had filed last week. The report further stated that Judge L.S. Chavan in his order noted that Ms. Ranaut, who owns three flats on the fifth floor of a 16-storey building in Khar area of the city, merged them into one. The judge observed that the actress converted free Floor Space Index (FSI) into a habitable area.

The court said, “These are grave violations of the sanctioned plan for which the permission of the competent authority is required.” In March 2018, BMC had issued a notice to Kangana for “unauthorised constructions” at her Khar flats. The actress had then challenged the notice and in her plea had requested the court to restrain the civic body from carrying out the demolition.

The civil court has given Kangana six weeks to approach the Bombay High Court against its order. Now reacting to the court’s remark, Kangana took to her Twitter handle and wrote, Fake propaganda by Mahavinashkari government, I haven’t joined any flats, whole building is built the same way, one apartment each floor, that’s how I purchased it, ⁦@mybmc⁩ is only harassing me in the entire building. Will fight in higher court (sic).”

In September last year, BMC had partially demolished Kangana’s office in the Pali Hill area. The actress had moved High Court against it and the court had termed the BMC’s action as illegal and malicious.
