COVID-19 positive Kareena Kapoor receives treat from Rhea Kapoor

On Monday, Kareena Kapoor penned a note on social media and confirmed to her fans that she has tested positive for Coronavirus. The ‘Good Newwz’ actress is currently quarantining at her residence in Mumbai, amid this, she received a sweet treat from her close friend and ‘Veere Di Wedding’ producer Rhea Kapoor.

The actress received Swiss chocolates from Rhea; Kareena shared a glimpse of it on her Instagram story as she indulged in the sweet treat sent by Rhea and her mother Sunita Kapoor. The ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Ghum’ actress wrote, “Always cheering me up. @rheakapoor Diving right in….@kapoorsunita.”

To which, Rhea Kapoor shared Kareena’s story on her Instagram handle and wrote, “Chocolates make everything better,” Sunita also reposted and wrote, “Enjoy.”

Kareena issued a statement about contracting the virus and wrote: “I have tested positive for Covid. I immediately isolated myself while following all medical protocols. I request anyone who has come in contact with me to please get tested. My family and staff are also double vaccinated. They are currently not showing any symptoms. Thankfully, I am feeling ok and hope to be up and about soon.” 

Meanwhile, Kareena, who is double vaccinated, and her friends Amrita Arora, Seema Khan, and Maheep Kapoor tested positive for the virus this week – all four attended a dinner at filmmaker Karan Johar’s residence on December 8. Apart from them, Shanaya Kapoor, Seema Khan’s son Yohaan also tested positive.

On the work front, Kareena is all set to team up with Aamir Khan for the third time after ‘Talaash’ and ‘3 Idiots’ for ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, which is a remake of the American comedy-drama Forrest Gump (1994) It is slated for cinema release on 14 April 2022. She also has Karan Johar’s directorial venture ‘Takht’ in the pipeline.
