Men on field are lauded and how, but on a much frank note, when it is about women, holistically one and all step back. But then there are few like minded people from Bollywood who give equal importance to women sports as they for men. And so on a positive note it was Amitabh Bachchan (a UN ambassador for the girl child mission) who took to his Twitter and praised the Indian girls who performed extremely great at the Commonwealth Games. The megastar tweeted:

Not just him from Bollywood, it was also actor Anil Kapoor who took to his Twitter and shared his joy on our women winning big on the Commonwealth Games field. He tweeted: (Also Read: Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan take up social cause, favour the formation of Cauvery Management Board)

For the unaware, Indian women athletes have won four gold medals so far at this year’s Commonwealth Games. Of these, three are from the weightlifting. Lastly, seeing a sight where veteran actors from Bollywood come together on social media and laud the women athletes is really warm and inspiring.
Kudos to the winners! For trending stories, stay tuned.
