When we talk about popular franchise in Bollywood, superstar Salman Khan‘s ‘Dabangg’ is a definite name that comes in our minds. It has been almost six years since the release of the second part. And since then, every fan of the superstar has been waiting for an official announcement of taking the franchise forward. So, today there’s a good news for everyone out there. Filmmaker-actor Arbaaz Khan has confirmed that ‘Dabangg 3’ is all set to go on floors in mid-2018.
Arbaaz had made his way to attend a special screening of a short film titled ‘#METOO’ and it was during his interaction with media when he confirmed about this news. He was asked if his production banner will focus on creating content for digital platform, to which Arbaaz replied, “As of now, my concentration is on my production and on my next film because when I involve myself in a certain project, that time I need to have some time for and I personally get involved in it.” (Also Read: Salman Khan’s Da-Bangg Tour has been called off in Nepal. “So, after making my upcoming film, I do have plans to create content on digital platform. Be it with a web series or short films… The options are pretty much open. As a producer, it is a wide spectrum of things that I want to do and for now, I am concentrating on ‘Dabangg 3’ which will go on floors mid this year. After that I will have more time because ‘Dabangg 3’ will take lot of my time, effort and concentration,” added the actor-filmmaker.

Talking about the first part ‘Dabangg’ (2010), it marked the acting debut of Sonakshi Sinha. The film was Arbaaz Khan’s first production and was helmed by Abhinav Kashyap.
