Actress Meenakshi Seshadri still rules the heart of several cinephiles thanks to her powerful roles in hard-hitting films like Ghayal and Damini to name a few. However, recently her fans received a huge shock when rumours of her death started doing the rounds on social media. Reportedly, it was said that Meenakshi had contracted Coronavirus and she succumbed to it. The veteran actress lives with her husband and two children in the US.
Thankfully much to everyone’s relief, Meenakshi recently shared a few posts on her social media handles. Thereby squashing all the rumours related to her.
A few hours ago, Meenakshi extending her support to the people facing the Covid crisis in India tweeted, “I pray for the well being of the multitudes of people in India suffering because of the pandemic. I earnestly entreat all of you to lend a helping hand in these troubled times, especially by making donations to enable treatment(sic).”

The actress also posted a picture on her Instagram handle and captioned it as, “Dance pose!”

With her recent social media posts, Meenakshi has put all the speculations about her death to rest. And we are so glad that she is hale and hearty.
A few days ago, on the first death anniversary (April 30) of her Damini co-star Rishi Kapoor, Meenakshi had tweeted, “Remembering Rishi Ji. In the movie Damini He beautifully complemented and supported me in delivering my role. My performance would not have been what it was without Rishi Ji.”

Back in the 80s and 90s, Meenakshi was known for her acting prowess as well as her dancing skills. Hero, Meri Jung, Swati, Dacait, Inaam Dus Hazaar, Shahehshah, Jurm, Ghayal, Damini, Ghatak are some of her most noted films. She was last seen in Ghayal Once Again (2016).
