‘Darbar’: Suniel Shetty to fight it out with Rajinikanth

After fighting with Akshay Kumar on-screens in the magnum opus ‘2.0’, Rajinikanth teams up with Suniel Shetty for his next film ‘Darbar’.

The superstar, who has kickstarted shooting for his cop-drama (which is being helmed by A.R. Murugadoss), had been shooting in Mumbai for 20 days in the month of April. Now to add more to the excitement, Suniel Shetty is set to portray the role of a bad man and fight with Rajinikanth in the much-awaited film.

Rajinikanth had wrapped shooting his first schedule with actress Nayantara and Pratik Babbar in Mumbai recently. As per the reports, Rajinikanth will be seen portraying the role of an IPS officer in the film. Suniel Shetty is set to play Anna, a corporate king. As per a report in Mumbai Mirror, “Anna, a corporate giant, will take on Thalaivar’s IPS officer. He joins the team during the second schedule which starts in the next few days in Mumbai and will be there all through.”

After a gap of 15 years, the versatile actor returns to do a dark character with Rajinikanth’s ‘Darbar’. Suniel Shetty was last seen as a villain in Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Main Hoon Na’ in 2004.

Reportedly, Suniel Shetty is gearing up for the role and prepping his body for the action scenes with Rajinikanth. Apparently, his role in the film revolves around an emotional flashback story and the actor will be seen playing a revengeful character in the film.

On the professional front, Suniel Shetty is also gearing up for films like ‘Pailwaan’ and ‘Hera Pheri 3’.
