Dasvi trailer: Abhishek Bachchan tries to complete his education in jail with no-nonsense jailer Yami Gautam on his back

Abhishek Bachchan, Yami Gautam, Nimrat Kaur starrer Dasvi trailer has been released, which looks pretty interesting. Since Maddock Films often share a slice of life kinds of films, Dasvi is no exception. For the film, Bachchan essays the role of Chief Minister of Haryana while Nimrat Kaur plays his wife. Yami Gautam Dhar is a police officer/jailer who keeps an eye on the prisoners. In the trailer, Abhishek is arrested by the police while his wife Nimrat takes over her husband’s duties as Chief Minister of Haryana. As he is in Jail, Abhishek acts like the boss who wants everything according to him.

But his happiness and luxury didn’t stay for long when Yami Gautam, the strict jailer comes into the picture and gives him a reality check rather makes him realise that he is a prisoner. Unfazed about him being the Chief Minister, Yami treats him like any other prisoner. But things get a little interesting when Abhishek decides to complete his education and strives hard in the jail, at least to pass the 10th board. But with Yami literally breathing on his neck, will Abhishek be able to succeed in completing his board exam in the jail?

Talking about their performance, Abhishek looks absolutely convincing as a politician and we are absolutely delighted to see this side of the actor. While we get to see a few glimpses of his onscreen wife, Nimrat Kaur. On the other hand, Yami Gautam as a jailer is a no-nonsense person who doesn’t take anyone’s shit. Though the film is set in Haryana, their Haryanvi dialect doesn’t seem as smooth as it is supposed to be.
