Deepika Padukone and Irrfan-starrer film gets DELAYED. Details Inside

Deepika Padukone is the actress of the season. The leggy lass’ last release ‘Padmaavat’ received good response at the box office and everyone praised her performance in the titular role. Post that, the actress was all set to team up with her ‘Piku’ co-star Irrfan Khan for Vishal Bhardwaj’s next, tentatively title ‘Sapna Didi’. But looks like we’ll have to wait for some more time.

Last evening, the makers of the film announced that the Deepika Padukone and Irrfan starrer has got delayed. Director Vishal Bhardwaj last evening confirmed that the leading man of the film, Irrfan is down with Jaundice whereas the film’s leading lady Deepika’s back injury has resurfaced, something which she got during the shoot of ‘Padmaavat’. Vishal took to Twitter and shared this news. Here, have a look at the tweet:

Pushing back film by a few months, @irrfank down with jaundice and @deepikapadukone with resurfaced back issue caused during Padmaavat. While prepping, was transported to Maqbool days. Stunning look tests, can’t wait to start shoot. Sending pyaar & duaaen to my Ustara and Afshan.

Interestingly, yesterday, Deepika was spotted at the airport with bandage on her nape, which made us wonder what was the issue.

Talking about ‘Sapna Didi’, the film is adapted from S Hussain Zaidi’s book, Mafia Queens of Mumbai and is reportedly based on the life and times of Ashraf Khan, popularly known as ‘Sapna Didi’.
