Deepika Padukone miffed with Sanjay Leela Bhansali over not casting her in ‘Inshallah’?

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has had a fantastic past 24 months or so. The 33-year-old actress is going through a purple patch – both on the personal and professional front. She also married the love of her life Ranveer Singh in Italy’s Lake Como in November 2018.

Now, it seems that Deepika is upset with director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Bhansali just recently announced his next venture ‘Inshallah’ and cast Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt in lead roles.

While all of Deepika’s fans were eagerly awaiting for Bhansali to collaborate with Deepika Padukone next, considering how she has been his favourite for a long time, fans were left puzzled when Alia and not Deepika was announced as the female lead. It looks like this hasn’t gone down too well with Deepika. The actress is apparently upset with the filmmaker for not casting her in the movie.

Deepika Padukone has given three of the biggest hits of her career with Bhansali i.e. ‘Ram Leela’, ‘Bajirao Mastani’ and ‘Padmaavat’. Her relationship with Ranveer Singh started on the sets of ‘Ram Leela’. Both Deepika and SLB share a great bond.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Deepika Padukone has started shooting for Meghna Gulzar’s ‘Chhapaak’.
