Deepika Padukone‘s father Prakash Padukone; the legendary badminton player turned a year older today. On his special day, daughter Deepika has the sweetest wish for her ‘greatest off-screen hero’. Sharing an adorable throwback picture of her with her dad, Deepika wrote, “Thank You for showing us that being a true champion is not only about one’s professional achievements, but also about being a good human being! Happy 65th Birthday, Pappa ! We love you!”.
In the picture, Prakash is seen holding little Deepika on his lap. Deepika’s cute smile has melted our hearts. Deepika was in a pink top and sweater and blue pyjamas.

Prakash Padukone was born on June 10, 1955, and he was the first Indian to attain World No. 1 badminton ranking. In 1980, he won the All England Championships defeating Liem Swie King at Wembley Arena, London. He founded the Prakash Padukone Badminton Academy in Bengaluru after he retired from badminton.
