Chennai Express was one of the biggest blockbusters in 2013 and today, the movie completed 10 years. To celebrate this special day, actor Deepika Padukone took to her Instagram and shared a throwback video which is too damn funny. In the video, both Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh recreated the ‘Bakwaas dictionary’ scene from Chennai Express. While Deepika played her part, Ranveer channelled his inner Shah Rukh Khan from Chennai Express.

Deepika shared the video and penned a lovely note saying that it was a daunting challenge for her. However, she said to find Meenama, the process was lonely and frightening. She wrote, “They say that comedy is the most difficult genre for an actor. So when I was offered ‘Chennai Express’, I knew I had a daunting challenge ahead of me. And while it took me a little while to find Meenama, a process that is extremely lonely and often times frightening. I’m grateful that we were able to create a character that is not only synonymous with the movie, but also one that continues to receive an abundance of love till this date.“
Seeing the throwback video, it seems like the video was captured during the Bajirao Mastani days. We see Ranveer sporting a bald look in the video. The throwback video is just too hilarious. Even filmmaker Rohit Shetty shared the poster of Chennai Express on his Instagram stories. He wrote, “Thank you for the love.”
Chennai Express starring Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan was a blockbuster movie in 2013. The movie crossed the 200 crore mark as it collected Rs 227.13 crores at the box office. Rohit’s directorial movie is still loved and watched by the fans.
