Watch: Deepika Padukone is jumping with joy over ‘Chhapaak’s first look reactions

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone is currently on a cloud nine at the moment. The 33-year-old diva is on a roll at the moment and married her soul mate Ranveer Singh in Italy’s Lake Como in November 2018. Deepika has now begun prepping for Meghna Gulzar’s ‘Chhapaak’. This feature film is based on the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal.

Just a couple of days back, ‘Chhapaak’s first look was released and Deepika had totally nailed the persona.

Now, the ‘Padmaavat’ actress was overwhelmed by the positive feedback from everyone. Deepika couldn’t control her excitement and expressed her elation by sharing a Boomerang video on her Instagram stories.

Deepika has time and again reiterated that ‘Chhapaak’ is very close to her heart. ‘Chhapaak’ is an inspiring story and Deepika is a perfect fit to play Laxmi’s role. Laxmi Agarwal’s life has seen many ups and downs, but she is a fighter and is an inspiration to millions of people.

Deepika Padukone starrer Chhapaak’ went on floors on March 25, 2019. The ‘Chennai Express’ actress believes the story needs to be told and has bankrolled her maiden production to put forth a strong, brave, courageous and independent female character. The film also stars highly talented Vikrant Massey in a pivotal role.

‘Chhapaak’ is being helmed by Meghna Gulzar and it is slated to release on January 10, 2020.
