‘Chhapaak’: Deepika Padukone, Vikrant Massey begin script reading sessions with Meghna Gulzar

Deepika Padukone is going through a purple patch and past 12 months have been really magical for the actress. The 33-year-old actress found her soul mate in Ranveer Singh and the duo tied the knot in Italy’s Lake Como last year. Now, Deepika is prepping for her role in ‘Chhapaak’. The film is being directed by Meghna Gulzar.

Today, the whole team of ‘Chhapaak’ assembled together for the script reading session. From Deepika, Vikrant Massey to Meghna, everyone took to their social media pages and shared photos from the session. The actress will be having a working Holi as she is busy with the preparations of her project.

Deepika took to her social media handle and posted a photo with Vikrant where she is all smiles. The actor captioned her post as “All things are ready, if our mind be so-William Shakespeare #Chhapaak @meghnagulzar @foxstarhindi @vikrantmassey87”

Deepika Padukone had made her Bollywood debut in 2007 with Farah Khan’s ‘Om Shanti Om’ alongside Shah Rukh Khan. The diva has created a niche for herself in the industry. Yesterday (March 19) at Zee Cine Awards 2019, Deepika was awarded the best actress for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmaavat’.

Coming back to ‘Chhapaak’, the film is based on the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. Deepika is also the producer of the film and it tells a heroic tale of overcoming struggle and adversity.
