“Deepika Padukone gave me a dream wedding,” says Ranveer Singh

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone got married in an intimate ceremony at Lake Como, Italy. The wedding was held on November 14 and November 15 as per Konkani and Sindhi rituals respectively. After the wedding, the couple even hosted lavish receptions in Bengaluru and Mumbai for their friends and colleagues.

Indeed, it has been a dream year for the couple. Despite controversies, ‘Padmaavat’ was loved by one and all. Ranveer’s portrayal of Alauddin Khilji won him a ‘Best Actor’ award. Even ‘Simmba’ received rave reviews and has been doing extremely well at the box office. In an interview with mid-day, Ranveer revealed that he is the happiest he has ever been. He said, “Everything that has happened this year is beyond my imagination. Accolades and acclaim for ‘Padmaavat’ were unprecedented. I couldn’t have dreamed the bliss life handed out to me. My marriage — Deepika gave me a dream wedding and an even better marriage. She had a vision for everything and worked meticulously on every detail. She gave me a memorable wedding that will be in my heart forever. I feel safe, secure and loved. Something has changed inside me; I am living the dream.”

Indeed, Ranveer has had a great year and we hope that 2019 is even better for him. On the work front, he has Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Gully Boy’ set for release. He also has ’83’ where he’ll be playing Kapil Dev in his kitty.
