Many have appreciated the upbeat music and the electrifying chemistry between Shah Rukh and Deepika. Moreover, it was their sizzling hot looks that people couldn’t stop gushing over. However, there’s a little controversy over the Pathaan song Besharam Rang after a specific section of people expressed their displeasure.
They have even demanded a ban on the release of Pathaan. Amidst the Pathaan controversy, actor Prakash Raj showed his support to Deepika and called the protesters ‘Besharam Bigots’. Sharing a tweet on his Twitter handle, the Singham actor said, “#Besharam BIGOTS.. So it’s okay when Saffron clad men garland rapists..give hate speech, broker MLAs, a Saffron clad swamiji rapes Minors, But not a DRESS in a film ?? #justasking ….Protesters Burn Effigies Of SRK In Indore. Their Demand: Ban ‘Pathaan‘”
Prakash Raj’s statement on the Pathaan song controversy:
For the unversed, Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra asked the makers of Pathaan to change the song’s visuals and costumes as he found it objectionable.
Mishra also added they would have to rethink giving the filmmakers permission to release the film in Madhya Pradesh if the visuals are not edited.

As per Indian Express, Mishra said, “The outfits that have been worn in the song are objectionable. It is evident that polluted minds are behind filming this song. Anyway, Deepika Padukone has been a supporter of the Tukde Tukde gang when she went for the JNU protests and that is why, I would like to request that they should correct the visuals of the song, correct the costumes, or else the permission to release this film in MP should be given or not will be a thinkable question.” Protestors have also burnt effigies of SRK in Indore.
Pathaan starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham will be released on January 26, 2023.
