Deepika Padukone on Hollywood projects after ‘XXX’: It’s not like I’m actively seeking something internationally

Deepika Padukone is one of the most talented actresses in Bollywood and she had become quite the rage in Hollywood as well after she starred opposite Vin Diesel in ‘XXX: Return Of Xander Cage’. But, post that she has not taken up any project in Hollywood and she says that she is not actively looking for work there.

According to a report by Hindustan Times, Deepika was asked about not taking up any Hollywood projects post ‘XXX: Return of Xander Cage’. She said she does not look or evaluate films as Indian or international, but as a medium where she can express herself. She said, “If that opportunity is out of India, great. If that is out of the United States or another part of the world, I am happy to explore that too. For me, it’s always been content. I did Xander Cage because it was an extremely powerful, strong character to play. Eventually, it’s about the character and role, and of course, the film.”

Speaking about her Hollywood projects in future she said, “It’s not like I’m actively seeking something in Hollywood. Whether India or any other part in the world, great content is what I seek.”

Meanwhile, on the work front in Bollywood, Deepika was last seen in ‘Chhapaak’ in which she played the character of the acid attack victim Laxmi Aggarwal and she starred opposite Vikrant Massey. The movie received mixed reviews. Next, she will be seen in the Hindi remake of the Hollywood movie ‘The Intern’ in which she will star alongside Rishi Kapoor. She will also be seen in an extended cameo in the sports drama ’83’ in which she will be seen opposite Ranveer Singh as his on-screen wife.
