Deepika Padukone shares a throwback video of Irrfan Khan playing tennis; says, “Please come back”

On April 29, the nation woke up to the unfortunate news of Irrfan Khan’s sudden demise. Everyone was shocked and heartbroken on losing such a talented personality. The entire world is mourning his death as they lost a legendary actor. Deepika Padukone also remembered Irrfan as she shared a throwback video of him and her caption will break your heart.

Taking to her Instagram handle, Deepika shared and fun yet heartbreaking video of Irrfan playing tennis with her on the sets of their film ‘Piku’. Irrfan gave his charming smile as he played. The video only makes you feel the pain even more post his demise. In the caption, Deepika wrote, “please come back!? #irrfankhan(sic)”

Yesterday, Deepika had also dedicated the song ‘Lamhe Guzar Gaye’ from ‘Piku’ to Irrfan. Deepika took to her Instagram to share a BTS shot with Irrfan while shooting the film. The caption read, “लम्हे गुज़र गये चेहरे बदल गये हम थे अंजानी राहो में पल में रुला दिया पल में हसा के फिर रह गये हम जी राहो में थोड़ा सा पानी है रंग है थोड़ी सी छावो है चुभती है आँखो में धूप ये खुली दिशाओ में और दर्द भी मीठा लगे सब फ़ासले ये कम हुए ख्वाबो से रस्ते सजाने तो दो यादो को दिल में बसाने तो दो (sic).”

Deepika ended the post with, “Rest in Peace, my Dear Friend…?”

On April 28, Irrfan was admitted in Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital due to a colon infection. The next day he passed away. The actor had been suffering ever since he was diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumour a couple of years back.
