Deepika Padukone to venture into film production with Meghna Gulzar’s next?

After the release of her period drama ‘Padmaavat’, leggy beauty Deepika Padukone hasn’t made any announcement regarding her next project yet. Though there have been reports of several filmmakers approaching her for their film, it looks like Deepika hasn’t taken up any of these offers.

A few days back, reports of Deepika collaborating with ‘Raazi’ director Meghna Gulzar were doing the rounds. A report in DNA had stated that Deepika met Meghna and they were in the process of finalizing a project.

Reportedly, the film for which Deepika and Meghna will be coming together is based on acid attack survivor Lakshmi Agarwal. Lakshmi is an acid attack survivor who was attacked by a man when she refused his proposal. Now, a report in Mid-Day suggests that apart from featuring in the film, Deepika will also be co-producing this film along with director Meghna Gulzar.

Meghna’s last film ‘Raazi’ featuring Alia Bhatt in the lead role was appreciated by critics and audiences alike. So if Meghna and Deepika actually come together, then we are expecting nothing short of magic from these two extremely talented ladies.

However, with no official announcement made yet about their collaboration all we can do is wait and watch.
