Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s first joint interview will be for Simi Garewal’s show

‘Rendezvous With Simi Garewal’ is the most popular show from the 90’s that would feature heart-to-heart conversations between celebrities from all fields and Simi Garewal. The show had a more emotional approach unlike the talk shows of today. Almost 15 years since the last season aired, Garewal is all set to return with her popular show and she has hinted that the show is going to be star studded.

In a recent interaction with Mid-Day, she revealed, “I have never revealed names till I’ve shot the episode. But I’ll reveal this — Deepika and Ranveer have promised their first interview together for Rendezvous.”According to the report, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are likely to open the season, marking their first joint television appearance post marriage.

She was asked if the latest season will see any changes in the format, to which she insisted that the heart-to-heart conversations are the show’s forte. “Why would I change the format [to include] more gossip and games? People resort to games when they cannot make a conversation. It’s an easy way out! No research needed! [But] Rendezvous is about getting to ‘know’ the person. I get many messages from viewers saying they are tired of the present format of talk shows,” said Simi.

There have been several celebrities, including Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan, Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Hrithik Roshan, Rekha and Kareena Kapoor Khan who have appeared on the show and bared their hearts out. Well, we are eagerly waiting to see who are the other celebrities on this new season of the show will be. The show is likely to stream on Simi Garewal’s YouTube channel.
