Deepika Padukone added, “I have come to realise however, that with my current state of work, I will be unable to give MAMI the undivided focus and attention it requires”. She also mentioned that while she is stepping down she knows and believes MAMI is in the best hands possible and her bond with the festival will remain forever. While being appointed as the chairperson, Deepika had said that it was an honour and a huge responsibility to be a part of the board.
