Deepika Padukone spills the beans on her first date with Ranveer Singh

Deepika Padukone’s life is going through a purple patch and she is enjoying success on both fronts i.e. personal and professional. The ‘Happy New Year’ actress tied the knot with Ranveer Singh on November 14 and 15 in Italy’s Lake Como. The couple have just completed one month of their wedding and their life is going great!

Now, Deepika Padukone has opened up about her first date with Ranveer Singh. She also revealed about the first time their families met. According to a report in PinkVilla, Deepika first met Ranveer at an awards show in Singapore and said, “I was at Yash Raj and he was there and he was flirting like it’s nobody’s business and he was dating somebody else at this point and I was smiling to myself and told him, ‘You are flirting with me.'”

The bold and beautiful diva also said that their families met three years ago. It was quite evident during the wedding that both the families were quite close and shared a great rapport. Reportedly, Ranveer’s father had told Deepika during the wedding that “Yeh Deewani Ab Bhavnani Ho Gayi”.

The ‘Om Shanti Om’ actress also revealed that once they started dating, they used to frequently go to restaurants, but their most special moments were during the preparation of ‘Goliyon Ki Raas Leela: Ram Leela’ at Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s house. The film became a big hit and in a way, played a crucial role in Deepika and Ranveer’s love story.
