Deepika Padukone REVEALS why she rejected her first film offered by Salman Khan

Actress Deepika Padukone is currently basking in the success of Gehraiyaan. She has been raved for her stellar performance in the movie. Deepika is today one of the most sought-after actresses of the industry. She has some mega movies in her kitty like Fighter with Hrithik Roshan, Pathan with Shah Rukh Khan and Project K with Prabhas. Fans want to see Deepika and Salman Khan in a movie together. Salman and Deepika share a great camaraderie with each other and we have seen that more often on Bigg Boss.

In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Deepika revealed that Salman offered her the first film. Had she accepted the film, it would have been her Bollywood debut and not Om Shanti Om.

On her equation with Salman, Deepika said, “We have always had a beautiful relationship and I’d always be grateful to him because he was one of the first people who offered me the film”.

Deepika revealed the reason why she she refused to be part of the movie offered by Salman. She said that she was not interested in movies at that time adding , “I had just started modelling and somebody whom I worked with mentioned it to him”.

She further said, “He saw potential in me even when I didn’t know I had.”

Deepika made her Bollywood debut with Om Shanti Om with Shah Rukh Khan.
