Deepika Padukone says response to Gehraiyaan ‘dizzying’, Ranveer Singh showers praise on wifey

Gehraiyaan premiered on Amazon Prime Video on February 11. Directed by Shakun Batra, the movie starred Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Panday and Dhairya Karwa. The movie received mixed reviews and responses from critics and audiences. But Deepika was raved for her performance in the movie. She played Alisha who is ambitious, messed up, complicated, vulnerable and someone who had not-so-good childhood. Love poured in for Deepika on social media. Even, some called it her career’s best performance.

Today, taking to her Instagram handle, Deepika wrote that she is ‘truly grateful and humbled’ for the response. She shared a few clips from Gehraiyaan alongside the post.

Deepika deleted her Instagram post but we have the screenshot of her post shared by one of Ranveer Singh’s fan clubs.

She wrote, “The response to Gehraiyaan has been dizzying to say the least! ‘Alisha’ has been my most visceral, indelible and delicious experience as an artist. While I am ecstatic and overwhelmed I am also truly grateful and humbled!??.”

Ranveer Singh who is in awe of his wife’s brilliance commented, “Everywhere I go, people are just talking about how dazzling you were in this film! You deserve every bit of it , my jaan! ❤️??? What an extraordinary artiste you are! Breathtaking portrayal ….. it’s magic, pure magic.”
