Deepika Padukone to have a standalone film as Shakti Shetty after Singham Again? Actress drops major hint

Deepika Padukone had a phenomenal 2023 with release of Pathaan and Jawan, and now she starts 2024 with release of Fighter. The actress is receiving rave response for her act as IAF office Minni. A few days back, Deepika Padukone dropped hint about having standalone movie as Shakti Shetty after Singham Againn as she talks about need of rephrasing feminism.

She was recently asked why she picks films with stories driven by men – Pathaan, Fighter, Singham Again to name a few. To this, Deepika replied, “Yeah sure, wait for Shakti Shetty.” To note, Shakti Shetty is the name of Deepika’s character in Singham Again. Rohit Shetty revealed earlier that after Singham Again, Deepika will get a standalone film as Shakti.

Deepika on the need to rephrase feminism

The actress continued, “But to complete my thought, you never anyway never do anything alone. I don’t think women can succeed without men and men can’t succeed without women. I think we need to rephrase the definition of feminism.” Talking of Deepika’s upcoming movies, apart from Singham Again, she is a part of Kalki 2898 AD. The sci-fi thriller also stars Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan in pivotal roles. She is also a part of The Intern Hindi remake.
