As Bollywood’s eternal dream girl Hema Malini rings in her 69th birthday today, here’s what makes it extra special! Her authorised biography ‘Beyond The Dream Girl’, penned by veteran journalist and producer Ram Kamal Mukherjee, will be launched in the presence of none other than Deepika Padukone! The event will be also attended by 50 stars from B-Town.
Further, as a gesture of love and respect that the veteran enjoys, notable celebrities have recorded their messages for her. The video will be played today, at the venue.
“While we were planning the book launch on her birthday (October 16), we realised that Hemaji will be completing 50 years in this industry in 2018. So we decided to make it special for her, and took this herculean task to get 50 celebrities to wish her on her biography, birthday and Golden Jubilee year,” said Mukherjee, adding that it was indeed going to be a big surprise for Malini. And though he refused to reveal who all would the video feature, we have already got our hands on a few of the messages!
“Hema is like my younger sister. I have always admired her for her grace and beauty. Recently she shared her music album with me. I was surprised to hear her voice. She is so melodious. Wishing her long and healthy life,” said the legendary Lata Mangeshkar.
“Hemaji you have set really high benchmark for all of us. 50 years in this industry is not an easy number to achieve. I am so, so looking forward to read your biography written by Ram Kamal Mukherjee,” exclaimed Vidya Balan.
Arjun Kapoor, a popular name in Bollywood’s young brigade, said, “Hello Hemaji, you have been our inspiration. I have fond memories of you as a kid, as we grew up with Esha and Ahaana. I am really looking forward to read your biography Beyond The Dreamgirl.”
We wish the evergreen beauty a joyous birthday. May she continue to be healthy and happy!
