Deepika Padukone to play Parvati in Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer Brahmastra 2? Deets inside

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer Brahmastra is one of the most talked-about films of this year. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, Brahmastra also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy. Brahmastra Part One: Shiva is slated to release in September this year. If reports are to be believed, Deepika Padukone will make a cameo appearance in Brahmastra. Now, as per latest report, Deepika Padukone will play the character of Parvati in the second part of Brahmastra.

Brahmastra’s second part will be about the story of two key characters – MahaDev and Parvati (played by Deepika). Pinkvilla quoted a source saying, “The makers have locked Deepika Padukone to play the character of Parvati. In fact, Deepika will also make a cameo towards the end of Brahmastra, which will eventually take the film into the second part.” The report further states that Deepika has already shot for the sequence in Brahmastra.

Brahmastra part one is about Shiva (Ranbir Kapoor) and Isha (Alia Bhatt), which is another name for MahaDev and Parvati. Pinkvilla further quoted a source saying, “All the characters are interlinked. It’s Ayan’s own universe deep rooted in Indian mythology. The world is unlike anything one has seen before in world cinema.”

Apart from Deepika as Parvati in Brahmastra’s second part, Shiva and Isha (Ranbir and Alia) too will continue to be in all parts of the trilogy. After Brahmastra trailer was released, fans were happy as they believe they spotted Deepika.

Deepika has interesting projects in the pipeline. The actress will be seen in Pathaan with Shah Rukh Khan. In June, Deepika shared Shah Rukh Khan’s first look from the film and wrote, “Words can never do justice to the love I feel for him… Presenting Shah Rukh Khan in & as #Pathaan. Celebrate #Pathaan with #YRF50 in cinemas on 25^th January, 2023! Releasing in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.”

The actress also has Project K with Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas and Disha Patani. Apart from this, Deepika also has The Intern with Amitabh Bachchan and Fighter with Hrithik Roshan.
