Recently, there were reports that Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’ will be postponed to April next year. The reason behind the postponement was said that the major portions of the film are yet to be shot and even the VFX is left. However, the makers had denied the reports.
So, as it was said that the shooting of the film is left, here’s a contradictory story that we have come across. According to a report in HT, Deepika Padukone, who plays the titular role in the film, has completed the principal shooting of the film. A source from the sets has stated, “Deepika has wrapped filming for her part. The actress has reserved additional three to five days for any patchwork if required. Patch work will be shot only after Ranveer and Shahid have finished shooting their respective portions.” (Also Read: Is Deepika being paid more than her male co-stars for ‘Padmavati’?
So, as Deepika’s principal shoot has been completed, we can say that the movie might not get postponed. Denying the reports of the film getting postponed, a source from SLB’s team had stated, “It’s not true. We want to know who is spreading these rumours of the film getting postponed! It’s been happening for over month now. The rumour started because of the FWICE strike as the shooting got a bit delayed. Only some minor patchwork remains to be shot with Ranveer, Deepika and Shahid and everything including VFX and editing is happening simultaneously. The film is racing towards its release date.”
‘Padmavati’, which also stars Shahid Kapoor, Ranveer Singh and Aditi Rao Hydari, is slated to hit the screens on November 17, 2017.
