Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’ has been in news for all the wrong reasons. The director’s magnum opus stars Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in the lead roles. The shooting of the film was stalled due to the protest against the film by Karni Sena, and now, Deepika’s recent statement on the film has really left us confused.
While there have been reports of the shooting of ‘Padmavati’ going on smoothly, and the film being released as per the schedule on November 17, 2017, Deepika recent statement on the film’s release has left us baffled. She herself didn’t seem quite sure over the release of the film when she said, “Every film has its own sort of journey and if it is meant to happen it will happen. As far as I know ‘Padmavati’ is definitely scheduled to release in November this year but if life has different plans for us and this film, then let’s see. If not ‘Padmavati’, then maybe some other film.”
Well, we wonder what Deepika was actually trying to say. The movie has the actress in the titular, Shahid will be seen as Raja Rawal Ratan Singh and Ranveer plays the role of Sultan Alauddin Khilji.
‘Eat Sleep Bollywood Repeat’ is his life Mantra. Dance is his first love and Rani Mukerji is his eternal crush. He is someone who loves being himself, and as for the ones who don’t agree, his reply? “Talk to my hand!”
