Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor coming together for Luv Ranjan’s next?

The year 2018 was a smashing year for Bollywood’s queen Deepika Padukone, as she not only ruled the box-office with period drama ‘Padmaavat’, but also tied the knot with her beau of six years, Ranveer Singh. Not only Deepika, the year was great for Ranbir Kapoor too as he broke a number of box-office records with ‘Sanju’. Now we have some good news for Deepika and Ranbir fans.

Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor share great onscreen chemistry and have given a number of hit flicks. Fans of the onscreen jodi have been waiting to see them share screen space ever since ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ days and it seems like their wish might soon be granted.

Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor will be sharing screen space in ‘Pyar Ka Punchnama’ director’s next that also features Ajay Devgn. As reported by a source to Deccan Chronicle, “In spite of two solid male stars, Ranjan’s film has a terrific role for the female lead. Deepika is the first choice and there’s no reason why she would turn down a plum role.”

The movie is all set to go on floors in mid-2019.

On the work front, Deepika Padukone will soon start work on Meghna Gulzar directorial ‘Chhapaak’. The story of the movie is based on the life of acid attack victim and is being co-produced by Deepika and Meghna Gulzar.

Ranbir Kapoor is busy with Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Brahmastra’. The movie also features Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan and Mouni Roy. He also has Yash Raj Films’ ‘Shamshera’ co-starring Sanjay Dutt.
