Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh to train in ‘Kalaripayattu’ for ‘Bajirao Mastani’

Bollywood’s alleged couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone have been confirmed to star in ‘Bajirao Mastani’. The movie is a dream of filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, he had first thought to make it with Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai, but things did not materialize. Now it seems that Bhansali’s vision will be fulfilled by his ‘RamLeela’ jodi.

Confirming the news Ranveer Singh said, That i am blessed to have Deepika Padukone as my Mastani and Priyanka Chopra as my wife Kashi Bai in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani.

Bhansali is known to be hard taskmaster. He makes his stars shed a lot of blood and tears to make their characters onscren come alive. This time around he has enrolled his Bajirao and Mastani in Kalaripayattu classes. They will be trained in the ancient Indian martial arts under the guidance of Daksha Sheth.

This is due to the many war sequences in the movie, to depict them it is essential for Ranveer and Deepika to train in the martial art. Along with this Deepika Padukone will undergo training for Kathak too.
