With that statuesque figure and genetically-gifted looks, Deepika Padukone doesn’t have to try hard to charm everyone. And lately, she has completely steered clear of her usual western looks for her movie ‘Padmaavat’ promotions. The diva was recently papped wearing a rich green sharara outside a Mumbai restaurant where she had come to celebrate the success of her period drama. (Also read: Pic alert! Deepika wore a beautiful emerald green sharara set by ace designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee, which was made from raw silk. The breathtaking number had intricate gold embroidery all over and was paired with a matching dupatta. We particularly liked the fact that Mukherjee retained its traditional elements and didn’t make an effort to chop off the length of the long kurta in an attempt to make it contemporary.
Stylist Shaleena Nathani opted for only a pair of gorgeous gold earrings from Tanishq that highlighted Deepika’s swan-like neck. The actress ditched other accessories and kept the hands and neck bare. The look was rounded out with a lovely nude lip and hair tied back in a simple, middle-parted ponytail.

Ms Padukone sported her signature kohl-rimmed eyes, making the vibe of the entire Rajasthani-esque outfit even more pretty. A hint of mascara framed her peepers and the eyebrows were softly done. Apart from her luminous, naturally beautiful skin, what we really could not take our eyes off, though, was her infectious million-watt smile. That just added the finishing touches to her rosy glow.
Isn’t there something about simply being happy that goes beyond what you wear? That’s exactly what makes Deepika’s look extra special for us. Cheers to more smiles and happiness to come!
