Ace designer Manish Malhotra’s father passes away

B-town’s ace designer Manish Malhotra‘s father breathed his last on Monday. While the exact reason behind Manish’s father’s death is yet to be known, reportedly he was in his 90s and wasn’t keeping well for some time. As soon as the news of Manish’s father’s death broke, filmmaker Karan Johar was the first one to reach Malhotra’s residence to offer condolence. Karan and  Manish are the oldest friends in B-town.

Veteran filmmaker and a close friend of the Malhotras, Boney Kapoor was seen offering his condolence to Manish.

The designer’s family performed the funeral at a crematorium in Mumbai. Several B-town celebs turned up to offer their last respect.

Manish’s other friends from the film industry like Boney Kapoor, Shabana Azmi, Sophie Choudry and Urmila Matondkar were also snapped outside his residence.

The designer entered Bollywood when he was just 25-year-old. Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Rangeela’ gave him instant recognition and post that there was no looking back. In 2005, Manish launched his own label and has dressed almost all the A-listers in Bollywood. He has even worked for international stars like  Michael Jackson,  Naomi Campbell, and Reese Witherspoon to name a few.
