Dhadak 2: Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri promise to deliver a raw, tragic love story

Earlier today, filmmaker Karan Johar took to social media and announced Dharma Production’s next outing Dhadak 2. After the success of the first instalment – starring Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter, the production house is now all set to bring the audience a new pairing in the form of lead couple Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri.

The fresh pairing of Siddhant and Triptii, paired with haunting music pieces and a tragic storyline, is sure to catch the audience’s eyes and leave an impact. Aside from that, the film promises to be a raw, real, and tragically beautiful love story for the modern age. These reasons alone are enough to make the film something many are surely going to be looking forward to.

Dhadak 2 is Siddhant Chaturvedi’s second Dharma film after Gehraiyaan. The film also marks Triptii Dimri’s second collaboration with Karan Joahr’s production house after Bad Newz. The film will also see Dharma Productions and Zee Studios collaborate for another time. They have earlier joined hands for Dhadak.

Filmmaker Shazia Iqbal – who received immense praise for her short story in Love Storiyaan, is all set to direct her first theatrical release. As evident from the announcement poster, the film is likely to deal with the subject of casteism in India and how love knows no boundaries

Sharing the official announcement on Instagram, Karan Johar wrote, “यह कहानी है थोड़ी अलग क्यूंकि एक था राजा, एक थी रानी – जात अलग थी…ख़तम कहानी Presenting Dhadak 2 starring Siddhant Chaturvedi & Triptii Dimri. Directed by Shazia Iqbal. #Dhadak2 in cinemas 22nd November 2024”. Triptii and Siddhant also shared the film’s announcement poster on their Insta handles.
