Dhadak: Debutants Janhvi and Ishaan start shooting for the movie

Finally, the shooting of Karan Johar’s movie ‘Dhadak’ kickstarts today. The movie marks the Bollywood debut of Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s daughter Janhvi and Shahid Kapoor’s younger brother Ishaan Khatter. Some time back, we were introduced to some posters of the movie which depicted the romantic chemistry between the lead pair. Now, the actors have started shooting for the movie. Dharma Productions has shared a picture on their official Instagram page sharing the same.

They have captioned the picture as, “And so it begins!✨ #Dhadak @karanjohar @shashankkhaitan @ishaan95 @janhvikapoor”

The posters that were depicted had vivid colours and Janhvi and Ishaan looked beautiful together. The story is an official remake of the Marathi superhit flick ‘Sairat’ which is based on casteism and honour killing. The movie helmed by Karan Johar will be releasing on July 6 next year.

While the movie marks the debut of Janhvi Kapoor in Indian cinema, Ishaan Khatter has already made his movie debut in the internationally acclaimed movie ‘Beyond The Clouds’ which is helmed by Iranian filmmaker Majid Majidi. Speaking to IANS, Ishaan had said, “This is an absolute honour. My mother is here in the audience — Everything I earn from my work will always, first and foremost, be dedicated to you. Thank you for giving me the gift of life and art. Firstly (for this piece of work) the award goes out to Majid Majidi – the masterful, wonderful, absolute legend of a man… who trusted me and gave me this film as my first leading performance.” So, ‘Dhadak’ will be his first movie in Hindi cinema.

Talking of their personal life, then Ishaan and Janhvi are rumoured to be dating in real life as well, as they have been spotted on lunch and movie dates together. Janhvi who had kept her Instagram profile private all this while, made it public on the day when the posters of her movie were launched online. Well, we wish the newcomers all the very best for their debut vehicle.
