Dhadak: Ishaan and Janhvi begin shooting, here’s their picture from the sets

With a lot of enthusiasm and excitement, Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions proudly announced the film ‘Dhadak’, the official Hindi remake of Marathi film ‘Sairat’. This film will pave path for two newcomers in the industry. KJo is launching Shahid Kapoor’s half-brother Ishaan Khatter and Sridevi’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor in Bollywood with this film. Well, the two upcoming stars have begun shooting for the same and we here a picture from the sets.

Unlike the original, Ishaan and Janhvi’s lovestory would be set in Udaipur. Dharma Productions has tweeted a picture of the two stars holding the clapboard and overlooking a river. New month, new beginnings and new stars is what the production house is all excited about.

Apart from this, there’s one more picture from the sets that is doing the rounds of the internet. It is a picture from the initial puja that was carried out by the production house before beginning the shoot. One of the Janhvi’s fanclubs has shared this picture on Twitter.

The entire team of ‘Dhadak’ really seems to be excited for this film. Even designer Manish Malhotra is on the sets of this film and he too has shared an on-location video on his Instagram story. Going by this video one can see that the set has been erected near a Shiva temple in Udaipur.

The Marathi film ‘Sairat’ directed by Nagraj Manjule was about honour killing. It was about two teenagers who fall in love with each other and elope from their home to be together. The orthodox mentality of their family wouldn’t let them be together and hence, the decision. But fate had something depressing written for them and they become victim to honour killing.
