The shoot of ‘Dhadak’, the Bollywood remake of Marathi movie ‘Sairat’, has kickstarted. We shared a few pictures from the sets yesterday, and even those of Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor, the debutants, today. And now, we have our hands on a fresh picture that has been shared by Manish Malhotra, from the sets of this Shashank Khaitan directorial and Karan Johar production. What’s special about it is that it has Janhvi’s mother Sridevi, who has accompanied her darling daughter on the sets, for her first day of shoot. Isn’t that sweet?
Take a look at the picture.

Janhvi and Ishaan’s debut was much discussed and raved about, before it was finally revealed that they would be starring in the Bollywood remake of acclaimed Marathi movie ‘Sairat’, which would be produced by Karan Johar. And after much wait, finally the first posters of the movie were released, recently. However, the posters were met with as much love as criticism. While some pointed out Karan for the obvious nepotism angle, some even went on to say that how Ishaan and Janhvi were looking too polished in comparison to the actors of ‘Sairat’, as a source has said the movie will be toned down for urban audiences and will be more on the lines of ‘Romeo & Juliet’. However, on the positive side, the charm of Ishaan, and innocence of Janhvi did rub on many, who gave the first looks a thumbs up.
While this is the first tryst of Janhvi with the camera, Ishaan has already been a part of internation venture ‘Beyond The Clouds’ for which he has bagged accolades as well. This will be his debut in Bollywood though.
Amidst a mix of appreciation and apprehensions, it will have to be seen how Ishaan and Janhvi fare on the box office meter, and in the long run, subsequently.
