Dhadak: Look at some breathtaking on-shoot pictures of this Ishaan and Janhvi-starrer

We were treated to the first look posters of Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor-starrer ‘Dhadak’ recently, and while it did face criticism for lacking the earthy look of ‘Sairat’, the Marathi movie on which it’s based, we and many others loved the look and feel of it. Janhvi’s innocence and Ishaan raw charm was visible, and post that, we just could not wait for the trailer. But looks like, that will have to wait a bit as the shoot has just begun. While the official handle of Dharma Productions recently shared a picture announcing the commencement of the same, today, director Shashank Khaitan took to Instagram to share breathtaking pictures of the location, i.e. Udaipur, and boy, are we bowled? Beautiful, isn’t it? The sunset, and two young lovers’ story blossoming against the same. We can totally imagine it. However, it does give off a ‘Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela’ vibe, as the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial too was set in Rajasthan only and was an adaptation of ‘Romeo & Juliet’ as well. We will have to see how Shashank will bring along the story, and how Ishaan and Janhvi will fare, on their debut test in Bollywood.

Talking about the hero of the movie, Ishaan, though this is his Bollywood debut, but the actor has already been a part of internationally-acclaimed filmmaker Majid Majidi’s ‘Beyond The Clouds’ which has won him accolades across festivals. The movie will release in India on big screens in 2018. On the other hand, for Janhvi, this will be the first time she faces the camera.

Given Karan Johar launched the two star kids (Ishaan is the brother of Shahid Kapoor and son of Neelima Azim and Pankaj Kapur while Janhvi is the elder daughter of Sridevi and Boney Kapoor), he faced much criticism. Also, it did not help the cause that Kangana Ranaut had fired the nepotism debate, which goes on till now. With all this hullabaloo, Ishaan and Janhvi will have to prove their mettle really hard in order to justify their mentor’s choice.
