‘Dhamaka’: Kartik Aaryan as Arjun Pathak means business in this spectacled avatar

Kartik Aaryan’s look as Arjun Pathak in ‘Dhamaka’ is revealed by the makers today. Helmed by Ram Madhvani, the Kartik Aaryan starrer recently went on floors in December. It is slated to release next summer.

Taking to their social media, RSVP Movies shared the look with the caption, “Welcoming Arjun Pathak with a #Dhamaka ?”. Kartik also shared his look on his Instagram handle with the caption, “Miliye #ArjunPathak se #Dhamaka ?”. The picture showed Kartik in a spectacled avatar – he is sporting a western former suit but his blue shirt had bloodstains on it. He has a bearded look, with thick stubble and moustache.

Touted to be based completely in Mumbai, the film is bankrolled by Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP and Ram Madhvani Films (with co-producer Amita Madhvani). The film gives a bird’s eye view into the workings of a news channel in the 21st century.

Earlier Kartik had said, “This for me is a miracle script and had me on the edge of my seat all through the narration. I knew this is the script that would give me the opportunity to explore a different side of me as an actor. I can’t wait to transport myself to Ram sir’s world and see his vision translate on the big screen. This is also the first time I am collaborating with Ronnie and RSVP, and I am looking forward to this journey.”
