Dharmendra snaps at media post voting; schools paps saying, “aap ko malum hai jo…”

Veteran actor Dharmendra stepped out to cast his vote in the fifth phase of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024. The actor clicked pictures with fans and also smiled at the paps showing off his inked finger. Earlier Hema Malini and Esha Deol were also spotted at the voting booth. Brothers Bobby Deol and Sunny Deol also posed infront of the cameras flaunting their fingers. The Deol family casted their votes by being the responsible citizens of India.

After voting, he was surrounded by the media, leaving him with little personal space. In a pap video, the actor expressed his frustration, stating, “Acche shehri bano, desh bhakt bano, maa baap se pyaar karo… aap ko malum hai jo mujhse kehelwana chahte hai” (Be a good citizen, love your parents, you already know this… still trying to put words in my mouth).

Dharmendra cast his vote at Jamnabai Narsee School in Mumbai’s Juhu area and was escorted out by his staff members post-voting. His daughter, Esha Deol, accompanied by her mother, Hema Malini, was also spotted at the polling booth.

The fifth phase of voting for the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 began today, May 20, and includes eight states and Union Territories: Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, Jharkhand, Ladakh, and Jammu and Kashmir. Voting commenced at 7 am and will continue until 6 pm.

Several Bollywood stars have been seen casting their votes early in the morning. Celebrities like Akshay Kumar, Farhan Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar, Tabu, and Janhvi Kapoor were spotted at their designated polling booths. Other notable actors, including Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Hrithik Roshan, Amitabh Bachchan and Rajkummar Rao, have also participated in the voting process.

On the professional front, Dharmendra was last seen in ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’. He will soon appear in Sriram Raghavan’s ‘Ikkis’, featuring Agastya Nanda, Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson, in the lead role.
