Dia Mirza pens sweet birthday wish for step-daughter Samaira: Thank you for opening your heart

Dia Mirza shares a lovely bond with her step-daughter Samaira Rekhi, who is her husband Vaibhav Rekhi’s daughter from his first marriage. Earlier today, on Wednesday, the Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein actress penned a sweet birthday note for her step-daughter on her 13th birthday.

The actress shared Samaira’s picture and wrote an emotional note, that read as: “Happy 13th Birthday precious girl! Thank you for opening your heart and home to me like only you could. You are so special Sam and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life learning and growing with you. I love you. Keep spreading your love and light ?❤️??? @samairarekhi”

Earlier, the actress spoke about her bond with Samaira and told Indian Express, “Samaira is my baby just as Avyaan is. She is at an age where we can dance, play act, share secrets, and do many activities together. I am so grateful to her for giving me a place in her heart and making me her own.” 

Meanwhile, Dia and Vaibhav Rekhi got married in an intimate ceremony in February 2021. In May, last year, she welcomed her first baby boy, Avyaan Azaad Rekhi. The Lage Raho Munnabhai actress revealed in her Instagram post that her son had a premature birth and he was in the NICU for two months.

The actress is known for her roles in films like Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd, Cash, Sanju, Thappad and many more. She was last seen Telugu-language action thriller film, Wild Dog co-starring Nagarjuna Akkineni, Saiyami Kher, and Atul Kulkarni. She was also a part of web-series, Call My Agent: Bollywood.
