Dia Mirza pens a heartbreaking note as she mourns demise of her niece

Actress Dia Mirza’s niece Tanya Kakde has passed away on Monday (August 1). She penned a heartbreaking note mourning the demise of her niece. Dia shared a picture of Tanya and wrote the eulogy. Her post read: “My niece. My child. My jaan. Gone into the light. May you find peace and love wherever you are my darling…”

She added, “you always brought a smile to our hearts and the higher realms will be filled with more light with you dancing, smiling and singing. Om Shanti” with a yellow heart, a tiger one and a folded hands emoji.

As soon as Dia shared the post, her industry friends offered condolences. Arjun Rampal wrote, “So sorry to hear this Dia. Prayers for all of you her family and her soul. Om Shanti ??”. Maheep Kapoor commented, “Prayers and strength to you and your family Dia ??❤️” while Alia Bhatt’s mother Soni Razdan wrote, “Oh Dia so so sorry for your loss. Big hug to you take care ❤️?”.

Dia thanked everyone for their prayers as she wrote, “Thank you all for your prayers and blessings ???? I pray that Tanya has found peace and transcended to a place that gives her freedom from all her pain.”

Tanya Kakde was 21, and she was Congress leader Feroz Khan’s step-daughter. As per a report in Times of India, Tanya died in a car accident on NH 44 as she was travelling with two of her friends from Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International airport to the city.

RGI airport inspector R Srivinas told the publication, “The sunroof of the car was open. When the vehicle overturned, Tanya suffered a severe head injury. She also sustained a severe injury in her right hand. Tanya was rushed to Osmania General Hospital for treatment, but she was declared brought dead by doctors.”
