Filmmaker Sajid Khan was named and shamed by more than three women in the ongoing #MeToo movement. The sexual misconduct stories of Sajid were so gross that even his family members were shocked and heartbroken. So after his misconduct stories resurfaced, actress Dia Mirza and Bipasha Basu came forward to lend their support to the survivors who came out against Sajid.
Dia Mirza, who has done a cameo in Sajid Khan’s ‘Heyy Baby’, opened up about him in an interview with India Today. The actress said, “I was deeply disturbed. I agree that Sajid was obnoxious, extremely sexist and ridiculous. Even for me, the details of these accounts are beyond shocking. I have personally always have had a radar for such people. I have never invested in a relationship with such people even in the workplace.”
Dia went on to add, “It would be unfair to say that the names that are coming out are shocking.” The actress even said that most of the people in the industry are silent because of the relationship they share with the alleged offenders whose name is coming out.

Soon after Sajid Khan’s name came out as an alleged offender, his cousin Farhan Akhtar took to Twitter and wrote, “I cannot adequately stress how shocked, disappointed and heartbroken I am to read the stories about Sajid’s behaviour. I don’t know how but he will have to find a way to atone for his alleged actions.”

Even Sajid’s sister Farah Khan had expressed her disappointment. She posted, “This is a heartbreaking time for my family. We have to work through some very difficult issues. If my brother has behaved in this manner he has a lot to atone for.I don’t in any way endorse this behavior and Stand in solidarity with any woman who has been hurt”

We wonder what Farhan and Farah have to say about Dia’s statement now.
