Dia Mirza announces separation from husband Sahil Sangha after 11 years of being together

Actress and former beauty queen Dia Mirza married the love of her life Sahil Sangha in 2014. The couple were dating for around six years before they decided to take the plunge. Today, much to everyone’s surprise, Dia announced her separation from Sahil after five years of marriage.

Dia’s announcement came as a shock as we all have seen how madly in love she was with Sahil. Taking to the micro-blogging site Twitter, Dia wrote, “After 11 years of sharing our lives and being together, we have mutually decided to separate.”

The actress had married her longtime business partner Sahil Sangha on October 18,  2014.

“We remain friends and will continue to be there for each other with love and respect. While our journeys may lead us down different paths, we are forever grateful for the bond that we share with each other,“she wrote further.

“We thank our family and friends for all their love and understanding and the members of media for their continued support and request everyone to respect our need for privacy at this time,” the ‘Sanju’ actress signed off.

Dia has also clearly stated that they will not be commenting further on this matter. While I am teary-eyed after reading Dia’s post, I wish both of them happiness.
