#MeToo: Former ‘Bigg Boss’ contestant Diandra Soares accuses Suhel Seth of sexual misconduct

The #MeToo movement has hit India like a tsunami. Every single day, we are getting to hear the names of A-listed celebrities in the sexual assault row. Bigwigs like Vikas Bahl, Alok Nath, Sajid Khan and Mukesh Chhabra have been named and shamed. Now, a former ‘Bigg Boss’ contestant has accused Suhel Seth of sexual misconduct.

In a Facebook post, Diandra Soares narrated her ordeal at the after-party of a bridal fashion show, that happened a few years ago in Delhi. Here are the excerpts from the post. “I was dancing on a couch & out of nowhere Suhel Seth shoves his fucking tongue down my mouth. I immediately bit his tongue & bit it really really hard with all my might & anger. Oh I also grabbed his BALLS & squeezed it hard & refused to let GO. He looks at me like a lil child , like a boy bewildered and with feelings all hurt & says “You bit me really hard !!!” (In baby voice no less ) While he was holding his tongue still looking absolutely innocent & hurt at MY behaviour.”

This is not the first time Suhel has been accused. 27-year-old film director Natashja Rathore accused Mr Seth of sexual assault. She narrated the entire incident to the Indian Express saying, “I met him at a party where my boss asked me to ‘go say hi to him, and get him to tweet’. He asked me to come to Janpath with him for ice cream, I refused twice but since he insisted, I sat with him in his car. We didn’t go to Janpath, he took me to his house instead.”

After this, a 33-year-old journalist Mandakini Gahlot and another woman (31-year-old) narrated their experiences with Suhel to the Indian Express.

For the uninitiated, Suhel Seth is a known figure in the industry. He has 4.8 million followers on Twitter. He is a well-known author and socialite who founded the consultancy firm Counselage India in 2002.
