Remember Kangana Ranaut’s tiff with screenwriter Apurva Asrani regarding writer’s credit in ‘Simran’? We quite thought the debate was over, since we never heard from either of them again.
But Apurva strikes again! We came across two his recent tweets. The first one, although it mentions no name, is evidently targeted at Kangana. “She struggles to shrug off multiple accusations of stealing scripts/hijacking films & they earn her sympathy with a stupid, nepotistic gag,” [sic] he writes.
For those uninitiated, filmmaker Ketan Mehta accused Kangana of stealing his year-old researches pertaining to Rani Lakshmibai, after she decided to move out of Mehta’s ‘The Queen of Jhansi’ and decided to make her own film on the same subject. “I hired my brother as addnl writer on my new film. #Kangana hired her sister as manager & now promotes her brother. All guilty of #nepotism?,” [sic] his second tweet read.
We so want an answer from Kangana on this!
