Amid this, there have been reports of him starring in Sourav Ganguly biopic. Reportedly, Ayushmann is set to replace Ranbir Kapoor in Sourav Ganguly biopic. But are the reports true? Well, in a recent interview, Ayushmann hinted at stepping into the shoes of legendary cricketer Sourav Ganguly in his biopic.

Speaking with Pinkvilla, Ayushmann said, “I’m not saying anything now. We have to make an official announcement whenever and whatever that happens.”

Sourav Ganguly had earlier shared details about his upcoming biopic. The cricketer had shared a tweet confirming that Luv Ranjan will be producing the upcoming project. His tweet read, “Cricket has been my life, it gave confidence and ability to walk forward with my head held high, a journey to be cherished. Thrilled that Luv Films will produce a biopic on my journey and bring it to life for the big screen @LuvFilms @luv_ranjan @gargankur @DasSanjay1812.”

Since then, there have been reports of Ranbir Kapoor playing Sourav Ganguly in his biopic. However, as per reports, Ayushmann will be replacing him in the upcoming project.
Ayushmann recently delivered a terrific performance as Pooja and Karamveer in the sequel of Dream Girl. The Raaj Shaandilyaa directorial also starred Ananya Panday, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Annu Kapoor, Seema Pahwa, Manoj Joshi, Manjot Singh, and Vijay Raaz among others. The film is slowly inching closer to Rs 100 crore mark as its total collection is now Rs 86.16 crore.
