25-30 din ke kaam pe paise poore chahiye: Did Boney Kapoor take a sly dig at Akshay Kumar?

Filmmaker Boney Kapoor recently visited the comedy show, The Kapil Sharma Show with his daughter Janhvi Kapoor for the promotion of Mili. However, during the conversation, Boney Kapoor expressed his displeasure about the actors who wrap up their movies in limited days of time. He thinks that the movies will never be successful if the actors wrap up their films in 25-30 days. But we wonder if the filmmaker is hinting at actor Akshay Kumar.

Boney Kapoor is heard saying, “Kahi aise actors hai jo aise filmein karte hai jaha wo 25-30 din ke kaam pe paise poore chahiye. (There are many actors who work for 25-30 days and want full fees) The intentions from the beginning is only wrong. I don’t want to name the actors but there are quite a few actors jo wo naaptol ke kaam karte hai. Wo bolte hai ‘kitne din ka kaam hai?’ Unka setup hota hai bohot convenient hona chahiye jaise ‘heroine available honi chahiye, director available hona chahiye’ Toh picture kaha achi banegi. (They want to work in a limited time. They ask ‘how long the shoot will go on?’ They want to work at their convenience like the heroine should be available, and the director should be available. Then the picture won’t work only.)”

Boney further added, “Your first thought process is dishonest. Jab tak honesty nahi aayegi na, chahe wo actors ho, director ho, ya chahe wo producers ho, picturein achi nahi chalegi. (Until and unless the honesty doesn’t come out, films will never work nicely)”

Well, among many stars, Akshay Kumar is one of the stars who is known to wrap up his films in 30 days. Given the fact that Akshay’s movies have also failed at the box office, fans too wonder if Boney is taking a jibe at Kumar.
