Did ‘Kaabil’ director Sanjay Gupta just take a dig at Shah Rukh Khan?

Looks like Sanjay Gupta is not yet over the ‘Raees’ – ‘Kaabil’ clash! This year, a day prior to Republic Day, both the films hit the theatres, with ‘Raees’ receiving a larger number of screens. Both the makers were rigid on releasing their films on the particular date and cashing in on the holiday business. Therefore, repeated discussions and meetings couldn’t address the issue.

Neither Hrithik Roshan nor Rakesh Roshan was pleased about the clash. Even at the box office, the two were facing a neck-to-neck competition.

After over a month, the ‘Kaabil’ director took to Twitter and wrote a tweet full of retaliating pleasure. From what it looks like, his target was none other than Shah Rukh Khan! (Also Read: Sanjay Gupta on friend Sanjay Dutt’s biopic: I don’t think it should be made)

“KARMA, you beauty! I love and believe in you so much. I love how you go after all that f*** with you. KARTAM BHUKTAM on Independence Day,” [sic] he wrote! However, SRK fans soon started trolling him and he deleted it.

In case you’re wondering where this came from, let us remind you that Shah Rukh Khan’s next release with Anushka Sharma will now clash with Akshay Kumar’s ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’, on August 11. They both will try to draw maximum business on August 15, a national holiday. As already known, Akshay is going great guns at the box office and has had back-to-back hits. ‘Raees’, on the other hand, wasn’t as big a hit as we thought it would be.
